Where is Herkimer Mountain located?
Herkimer Mountain Diamond Mine is located off Oswegatchie Road in Fonda, NY 12068, in New York’s Mohawk Valley.
How far is Herkimer Mountain from Albany?
Herkimer Mountain is about an hour west of Albany and closer still to Schenectady and Amsterdam, just off the New York State Thruway (I-90). It’s an easy day trip from the Capital Region.
How do I get directions to the mine?
Detailed directions and arrival instructions come in your booking confirmation email. The access road is rural and unpaved, so please follow those directions closely. If you get turned around, call us at (518) 571-9291.
Is there cell service at the mine?
Yes, there is cell service, but reception can be spotty in some areas.
